Dear You,
For as long as I can remember life has been about two things: relationships and stories. Since I was a little girl, I would hide away in my room or on our property by the tangerine trees, scribbling down all my thoughts about life and love. I used my pencil to tell the most beautiful stories I knew how to tell.
Since then, many years have come and gone, but one thing remains the same: I'm still telling stories. But today, I use my camera. And the story I want to tell is YOURS.
Whether you're graduating high school, getting engaged or married, or welcoming a precious new life from God, I want to be there-- not just as your photographer, but as your friend.
As a sensitive introvert, wife, and new momma to a sweet baby girl, I understand how precious and fleeting those memories are. And the beautiful thing? Photography let's us freeze them. So let's connect, grab a warm cup of coffee, and share a story or two.
I promise you'll be glad you did.
Much Love,
Kimberly
Hi, again.
I am a professional helper and artist. I have taught at-risk kids and college-bound kids for nearly two decades. Currently, I am an AP English teacher and department head at a private college preparatory school in Tampa, FL. In my teaching career, I have been given many awards and accolades, but the nearest and dearest to my heart are the ones that came from my students: The Nobel Claes Educator of Distinction Award in 2021 and The Outstanding Educator Award from the University of Chicago in 2020.
I earned my bachelor’s in Secondary English Education in the SCATT Teacher Honors Program from the University of South Florida. Go Bulls! I have my M.Ed. in English from Liberty University and studied at Goddard College’s MFA in Creative Writing. After a near-death health crisis in 2021, I am now earning my doctorate in counseling and community care so I can help the marginalized and suffering.
I am also a published writer. My writing has been featured in Christianity Today’s Ekstasis Magazine, Ruminate Magazine, Heart of Flesh Literary Journal, Calla Press Literary Journal (where I am a contributor), Harness Magazine and elsewhere. I am currently working on publishing a poetry chapbook and a nonfiction book about teaching, parenting, and leading this new generation toward wholeness.
